1980 - 1989 In the 80's I unfortunately didn't hear much about my favourite band. But I have to admit that during this time I neglected music a bit. There were other, more important topics, such as studies, job, family, children. There wasn't enough time left for music.

Of course I had to think of them every now and then when I heard their songs on the radio. And I often wondered what they did now, whether they still played together and whether I'd ever hear about them again. If I had known already back then what would happen in respect of the Rubettes, I wouldn't have believed it.

But I remember vaguely having seen them a couple of times on television during a radio and television exhibition or something like that. And I also realised the personal changes. I missed John and Mick. But I was happy that they still or again existed. What had happened in the meantime, I didn't know.
