Mick Clarke

In the 70's I didn't pay too much attention for Mick. But today I have to say, that he's a real friend and mate. If nobody has got time, Mick always find time for a chat and takes the whole gigging scene very laid-back. At least that's my impression.
My first meeting with Mick was a crash. Bremerhaven, Germany, New Year 1997: the morning after a long New Year's Eve. We stayed in the same hotel as the Rubettes. The lift opened, I wanted to step in, Mick wanted to step out and... crash. I have to add that Mick is one head taller than me and probably didn't see me. It was very embarrassing to me and I could only stumble a 'Sorry, good morning. Mick's memory of Bremerhaven is only, that it was freezing cold, -15°C.
To my shame I have to admit, that during a gig some time later Mick and I crashed again.
